IDT Graduate Project

This is a final project for a course in my IDT graduate program at Emporia State University (ESU). The directive of the final was to create an online eLearning course on a topic of our choosing, design the instruction, and develop the course content and assessments utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS).

This course was built around the Backward Design framework utilizing Open Educational Resources (OER) for my instructional materials and user guides. The theories used were Cognitivism (memorizing and information processing via OER) and Constructionism (summative assessments).

IDT Graduate Project

This is a final project for a course in my IDT graduate program at Emporia State University (ESU). The directive of the final was to create an online eLearning course on a topic of our choosing, design the instruction, and develop the course content and assessments. We were to build the learning environment from scratch using Wix.com.

This course was built around the Backward Design framework utilizing Open Educational Resources (OER) for my instructional materials.  I based this instruction on the Constructionism Learning theory in that in every module they were to construct an artifact based on the modules’ instruction.

This course required use of Absorb, Do, and Connect activities and was to be accessible to all users.

The course outline can be found here: Course Outline.
